The group that consist of the most successful club in recent day Gunjur football Red Star FC, other group members are Sunderland, Blaness and Solar Enterprise.
We would like to give you some preview of the matches, strength and weakness of teams as well as their chances of advancing to the next stage of the competition.

RED STAR FC
Starting with Red Star FC, the club is by far the most successful club in this competition having had close to thirteen trophies to their name. The team has produced potential figures like Salief Bojang, Mbemba Fatty, Saikou Barrow, etc. who all represented Gunjur in 2016 Zonals Championship with Salifu being awarded as the best player and Mbemba Fatty as the leading goal poacher.
Well, having said that, one might question the team’s (Red Star) current state of strength as far as potential replacement for the aforementioned players are concerned, for a fact, the team doesn't give chance to young players and that leaves a question whether the trend will change this season? No doubt, the absence of big-name stars such as Salifu, Mbemba, and Saikou Barrow has affected them last season and might continue to trigger some shortcomings which would leave scars in the team's setup. But the past success of the team might motivate the young squad to fight for glory, is not too certain if they can get.

SUNDERLAND FC
Sunderland FC: A side described as the "Arsenal in Gunjur Nawettan" due to their ability of possessing well. It's a side that often look well prepared and promising into the start of the competition. This side has developed the culture of encouraging, nurturing and giving chance to young ones, with the view to establish themselves stronger without having to rely much from the outsiders. Indisputably, the team hasn't been the best in recent seasons, they struggle in group stages despite having a beautiful style of football, but being too clinical in front of goals has been a major concern for the team. Losing one of their fine player Fabakary to Solar Enterprise could leave some questions unanswered. If they can turn their possession dominance into goals, they are likely to advance to the next stage.
Blannes FC, hearing the name of this team rings a bell to big guns like Red Star, Commit FC as well as Solifo FC formerly Reliance FC. Blannes were no doubt the surprise package in 2017/18 Nawettan Season having found themselves in a group believe to be the group of death that had Red Star, Commit FC, and Solifo FC. Blannes stood against all odds and shocked big guns. They beat Red Star, Solifo and drew with Commit which resulted to some violent leading to the abruption of the match and Commit FC eventually got suspended. The sensational Yusupha Janneh alias Del Piero as his sobriquet name together with Dembo Fatajo were very much phenomenal in the team.

BLANNES IN GREEN & BLACK
However, the team didn't live up to expectation last year compared to the previous year. It's confirmed the midfield maestro Dembo Fatajo and the forward wizard Yusupha Janneh are still with the team. The team has a good chance of advancing to the next stage if they do their homework properly.
Solar Enterprise FC: Credit has to be given to this team and the team could be a surprise package in this group. It's a team that made its way through the qualifiers. Solar Enterprise has a great number of supporters, one might argue the team has no experience collectively of playing in the senior category but notwithstanding, it's a team that's eager for glory and that has been manifested throughout their qualifiers.
The inclusion of captain Jerreh Bojang, one of the top exposed defenders in the Nawettan who used to play for Commit FC and Zonals Championship winner with Gunjur, and Fabakary who used to play for Sunderland FC, has strengthen the team's spirit and amplifies their efforts and zeal to desire for success as far as the Nawettan is concerned. Well, does the team has any chance of making it to the next stage? Yes, this side could be seen as the underdogs but could be the surprise package in this group. They have a lot to proof and play for, they just have to give maximum respect to big teams and exercise highest level of discipline, as well develop a high sense of winning and avoid conceding goals to fancy their chance of getting through.
