It is not still certain as to which direction the destiny will go, as the top three (Brikama United, Real De Banjul and Gambia Armed Forces, ‘GAF’) are fighting for Gambia football federation division one league title. Not until after the end of regulation time on Sunday fixtures, will a champion be announced and crowned.

Brikama United FC
Rarely for many years did this kind of dramatic race is observed in division one league campaign. With just a game to go, the final matches are as crucial for the top three, as the world cup final was for Spain in 2010.
With the gap between so tight, is a question of who will clinch the title? No idea as at now.
Brikama currently seats on top with 43 points Real De Banjul followed in second with 42 points and GAF third with 40 points. The current standing makes the final games even more interesting.

Real De Banjul FC
Brikama will be taking on GAF at the stadium on Sunday (9/6/19), while Real will be travelling across to the West Coast Region to play Marimoo in Brikama on the same day. A win for Brikama will mean a title for them, but GAF can also win the title if they defeat Brikama and hope for Marimoo to do them an almighty favor by beating Real.
Howecer, GAF can still ‘throw sand in the pap’ for both sides (Brikama and GAF) to lose the title with any stalemate score line, provided that Real can register a win against Marimoo.

GAF FC
The title is hanging on a balance and can sway in any direction as the race goes down to the wire. The two crucial games will no doubt produce a nervous moment for the supporters of the top three teams. Perhaps, football federation organizing committee needs a helicopter or a police escort for a quick transportation of the trophy and medals as any of the two ground can produce a lucky winner!
