Saikou Drammeh scored the game’s only goal that hands last year’s knock-out cup holders a title and winner’s prize money of D6, 000.

This was a game that sway in one way and then another, as Fatoumata’s Print dominates the first half, with the second half controlled by Sanchaba United.

The knock-out cup holders were the quickest to settle as their persistence attacking left Sanchaba in nerves. Midfielder Assan Camara carves the games first chance when he drew a fine save off Sanchaba’s custodian Ousman Tamba from close range.

Moments later Fatoumata’s Print had a goal ruled out for a close but correct offside when Ebrima Ceesay who was standing in a certain offside position picks a pass from Saikou Drammeh and slice into the net.

Sanchaba were only hitting half chances at Fatoumata’s Print Modou Bittaye in-between the frame.

However, Sanchaba came from the rest with a different approach as they showed more urgency, forcing Fatoumata’s Print to switch to a counter attacking football as they rallied behind the ball.

Captain karamba Darbo came close with Sanchab’s first closest chance when he beat the goalkeeper and hit the post in front of an empty post following a pinpoint pass from Sulayman Cham.

Another chance fell to Sanchaba when center-back Yankuba Saidy nearly break the deadlock with a far range freekick only for the efforts of goalkeeper Bittaye to denied him.

Then came a moment of relief for Fatoumata’s Print as a goalkeeping error hands them the opener half way into the second half. Left-back Bubacarr Ceesay whipped in a high set-piece which was mishandled by the keeper and Saikou Drammeh capitalizes to force home a volley that sends their fans into delirium.

Sanchaba keep pushing for an equalizer but, Fatoumata’s Print were so composed at the back to commit any error, even though Sanchaba’s supporters nearly celebrate a leveler only to see Jerreh Jawaneh’s strike clips off the cross-bar in the closing stages.

The triumph of Fatoumata’s Print was as well decorated with a set of jersey handed out by Henry Gomez former minister for youth and sports. While Sanchaba as runners were rewarded with a ball and cash of four-thousand dalasis.
