PARLIAMENTARIAN DONATES TROPHIES IN LOWER BADDIBOU

Honorable Alagie Jawara a National Assembly member for Lower Baddibou Constituency over the weekend presents trophies worth over a thousand euros to several sport heads in Lower Baddibou.

The event was held at Baddibou Kerewan Village where a massive crowd that includes women, elderly, youths and kids gathered to witness the presentation ceremony.
Ten trophies worth nearly seventy thousand dalasi were presented to nine district sports heads within Lower Baddibou, a giant trophy was also given for the inter Lower basic school championship in the constituency.
Speakers described the donation as a historic moment, as they said it was the first time a member of parliament donate such valuable materials to Lower Baddibou.

Sports has a driven force that can quickly harmonize socialization within the youth folks as a result that is what motivated honorable Alagie Jawara to engage his area through sports.
“I see myself as a youth, obviously I know what the youths are feeling particularly when it comes to sports. I said to myself what can I do to bring people together socially, morally in all aspect of life and I think sport is the gateway to that” Jawara stated.
The National Assembly Member further urged the youth to maintain discipline through the organization process. “Let them do as expected and discipline is very important in this. Whatever we are doing we should be guided by our morals and discipline.”
These trophies according to the donor, were bought in Italy and all design the same way to ensure satisfaction. Hon. Jawara also adds a cash amount of D21, 000 to be shared among the beneficiaries, while Alhagie Karamo Jadama Regional Chairman also pledged D10, 000.
