FOUR MEMBERS OF FORMER GUNJUR SPORTS COMMITTEE RE-ELECTS

Lamin N. Darbo, Assan Jassy, Alhasan Sanyang and Pa Ebrima Jabang former chairman, treasurer and secretary general respectively has be nominated into the newly formed Gunjur Sports Committee executive.

The nomination of the quadruple came after yesterday’s elective congress, where some team delegates appeals for their inclusion into the new committee.

Lamin N. Darbo and Assan Jassy maintains their positions as chairman and treasurer, while Alhasan Sanyang and Pa Ebrima Jabang has been nominated the first and second vice president.

Three team representatives (Dembo Touray FC Bax, Demba Janneh Solid Properties, and Ka-Omar Manjang Gamcel FC Halifax) are also included.

Lamin Darbo’s led executive have administered sports in Gunjur for two terms. Under their tenure Gunjur won the popular “super nawettan zonal championship” and West Coast Region third division league thereby gaining promotion to the second tier of Gambian Division. They have also rounded Gunjur Nyamina football field with a perimeter fence and recently secured a funding of a mini-stadium from Gambia Football Federation.
