Presentation of the materials
Pa Mambuna Bojang a Gunjurian currently staying in United States has shipped football gears valued at around seventy-thousand dalasis to GIP football academy in Gunjur Kombo South, West Coast Region, The Gambia.
The material donated includes sixty football, shirts, bibs, corns, football boots etc. The items were officially presented to the academy this morning during their morning training session.
Speaking to this medium from his base in Kentucky United States, Mambuna said "Football has dearly, rewarded me in ways I could not imagine. I therefore feel obligated to give my little support to the visionary work Mr. Jobe and his team are doing at the GIP Football Academy. Nothing is more pleasing to my heart than giving back to the community that shaped me."

Hatab Jobe the president of the academy and facilitator of the donation was full of praises for the donor “Mambuna is a remarkable man who is doing greatly towards the development of the community. He has been doing this for years now” he said.
Jobe added “when it come to appearance from here to any part of the country, we can boost of being among the most decorated academies in the country. You cannot find most of the academies in with this whole lot of materials.”
Musa Ndong a trainer at the academy laments on the importance of the support, “materials like these always motivate the kids, it gives us rapid development and also makes our training sessions easy” He stated.
Mambuna is former footballer of Sebindinto (formerly, YSB), Young Dabanani, Kutejong-bulu and Saraba (briefly, before he left for the U.S) of Brikama, and then Transylvania University on a full scholarship.
